Grand National Roadster Show 2013

Greetings from MOONEYES!

The MOONEYES Booth was inside Building #4 during the 64th Annual Grand National Roadster Show at the Fairplex in Pomona, California from January 25-27, 2013. Thank you to everyone that stopped by our booth during the weekend. We had MOONEYES Staff Steve with us to snap up some photos from the event. He covered the entire weekend and managed to get a few shots in. Below are a selected few of the photos he put together in a gallery from each building. Please enjoy! As you can see in the photos (below) taken at MOONEYES in Santa Fe Springs, it actually does rain in Southern California.

Getting right into the Grand National Roadster Show (GNRS) event coverage, we begin with Building #3 “A Day At The Drags – Gassers”

The main hall, Building #4. Here’s a look at the dozen AMBR cars competing for America’s Most Beautiful Roadster (AMBR).

Continuing in Building #4 with more show cars on display as well as pinstripers and vendors.

Building #5 featured different types of styles but there were more lowriders here. There were a few hot rods and customs as well.

Building #6.

Building 6 is where the show motorcycles are on display. HCS2012 (MOONEYES show in Yokohama, Japan) guests Mike Davis had his Triumph at the show as well as HCS2012 guest Todd Asin with his Triumph. The Factory Metal Works built Moon Machine Triumph was also part of the motorcycle show. John Edwards, a guest at HCS a few years ago, was there with his sweet Panhead. There were cars and bicycles on display in the other half of this building including a few more lowriders.

Building #7 was full of customs and kustoms. From bare metal restoration projects to fully modified custom creations, this building was amazing.

Building #8 is where the street rods (mainly) were. There were, of course, customs and hot rods as well in this building.

Building #9 is similar to the HCS Spotlight where they focus on a theme or category type. Last year it was the 80th Anniversary of the 1932 Ford. This year, the theme was Woodies and Wagons and with that theme comes Aloha and Surf.

Building #10. Suede Palace. This is where a variety of customs and vintage hot rods are showcased. Outside of Suede Palace also featured more cars and a lot of car clubs. HCS2012 guest Rez Rivera’s Ford Roadster was parked outside looking great with that stance.

Thank you for viewing our gallery from GNRS2013. Hope you enjoyed the photos and the page held up.

We have several shows that we’ll be attending this year. If you happen to see the Mooneyes booth, please be sure to drop in and say hello! Hope to see you at the show!
